Thread Count — What It Really Means
Thread count measures threads woven per square inch. Higher counts generally produce softer, denser sheets — but only when yarn quality supports it.
The reality: a T300 sheet in premium long-staple cotton outperforms a T600 sheet in short-staple, multi-ply yarn. Some manufacturers inflate counts by counting each ply separately — doubling the number without improving quality.
Always ask your supplier about yarn quality, not just the number on the label.

What is the difference between percale and sateen hotel sheets?
Percale uses a balanced one-over, one-under weave that produces a crisp, cool, matte feel — the industry standard for most commercial hotels. Sateen uses a four-over, one-under weave that creates a silky, smooth feel with subtle sheen — better suited for luxury and boutique properties. Both weaves are available in the same thread count and fabric options.
Do your hotel sheets shrink after commercial washing?
All cotton fabrics shrink to some degree. Standard cotton sheets may shrink 3–7% after first commercial wash. We offer pre-shrunk (sanforized) fabric that limits shrinkage to 1–3%, and we account for shrinkage allowance in our cutting dimensions. We always recommend a pre-production wash test, which we perform as part of our quality process.
What is the expected lifespan of your hotel sheets?
It depends on fabric, laundry frequency, and washing conditions. As a general guide: poly-cotton blends last 400–600+ commercial washes, combed cotton lasts 250–400 washes, and premium long-staple cotton lasts 300–500 washes.
